A local rescue facility is doing its part to help newborn kittens.
The Pet Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) of Norwalk held a kitten shower at its facility this weekend.
The group welcomed the public to come in for a raffle, grab bags, refreshments, and to learn about kittens available for adoption.
PAWS is currently in need of supplies like formula and cans of kitten food.
Organizers are trying to get the word out about the thousands of kittens born outside in the spring and summer months.
PAWS currently has 80 cats of all ages that are up for adoption.
