Norwalk's school board voted unanimously to accept more than $1 million in additional funding for the next school year.
Officials say the vote allows the board to use the additional funds to restore the 26 positions that would have been cut.
Members say they will still have some layoffs.
Officials say the additional funds will also bring back the district's planetarium and car service program at the high schools.
