It was business as usual at Norwalk Public Schools Monday despite the spring snowstorm.
Norwalk got about 6 inches of snow, although there was no delay or closure at any public schools.
Several parents took to social media to post that they thought there should have been at least a two-hour delay. Others said the parking lot at Norwalk High School wasn't even plowed.
"They should have at least had a delay or something like that because the roads were terrible this morning," one parent said.
The school district released a statement on its decision.
"I would like to apologize for the challenging travel conditions this morning," said Dr. Frank Costanzo, chief of school operations. "At the end of the day, this decision is mine to make and today I got it wrong."
Norwalk Public Schools say that it had six snow days this school year. The tentative last day of school is June 19.
