About 60 pairs of baseball cleats were donated to Claremont elementary students at P.S. 55 by not-for-profit group Shoes For All.
School principal Jose Torres says the athletic shoes, which cost anywhere from $30 to more than $100, will help parents who can't afford them.
Through this donation, the Claremont students in return are giving back. About 55 of the donated cleats will be going to a local baseball league with players who have autism.
The students plan to personally hand them out this week to the special-needs athletes.
