Nuvance Health will begin a blood plasma program this week at Norwalk and Danbury hospitals.

The program is intended to give people who have recovered from COVID-19 the opportunity to donate potentially life saving plasma to help others fight the virus.

Donors must have confirmation of a positive test to donate.

Doctors say the first few patients had a good response to the program, and will be evaluated on an ongoing basis.
