Bridgeport police are investigating a hit-and-run crash Wednesday that killed a woman from Queens, New York.
Investigators say it appears the driver of a 2004 Volkswagon Passat that was traveling east on Stratford Avenue lost control and rolled over. They say the car hit a curb and a guardrail, and then two pedestrians.
Both victims were taken to the hospital. Police say Vivian Smith, 22, died and a 21-year-old man is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the driver left the scene on foot. They are looking at video footage from the area and speaking to witnesses.
Anyone with information is asked to call Bridgeport police.
