The NYPD says it issued hundreds of violations during a recent citywide crackdown on hazardous driving.
The 43rd, 45th and 48th precincts are the three Bronx precincts that took part in the initiative between May 26 and June 1.
According to police, drivers in the 43rd Precinct were stopped the most, resulting in 376 tickets. The 45th saw 338 tickets and the 48th had the least violations with 220. Infractions included speeding, failing to yield to pedestrians and cellphone use behind the wheel.
Officers say that while that latest crackdown has ended, drivers should still practice safe driving habits at all times.
