The NYPD says they will add bullet-proof glass and armor to all of their vehicles following the fatal ambush shooting of Officer Miosotis Familia.
The work should be completed by the end of the year and cost $1.3 million.
The single shot that killed Familia was fired through an ordinary window.
The shooting left some wondering if enough was done to protect her.
