President Barack Obama is expected in Newtown this evening to offer comfort to both the victims' families and the grieving town.

The president is scheduled to attend both a vigil honoring the victims and an interfaith memorial service at Newtown High School.

Investigators say Adam Lanza, 20, shot and killed his mother, Nancy, at their Newtown home, then drove to Sandy Hook Elementary School Friday morning, where he killed 26 people before taking his own life. Police released the names of all the victims yesterday, which included eight boys, 12 girls and six women who died from multiple gunshot wounds at the school.

Gov. Dannel Malloy has ordered all flags in the state to fly at half-staff until memorial services have been held for all the victims.
