Officials: Dog dies, 2 residents displaced in early morning Norwalk fire

Norwalk firefighters say a dog died and two people were displaced in an early morning house fire at 17 Dairy Farm Road.
They say responders arriving at the scene found residents attempting to extinguish a basement fire and rescue the family dog.
Fire officials say 28 firefighters responded but not before the house sustained major smoke and fire damage.
The residents had minor injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
