Officials: Lithium-ion battery possibly caused Easton garage fire
A lithium-ion battery is believed to have been the cause of a fire in Easton, fire officials say. It happened around 7 p.m. on Tersana Drive. Firefighters were at a call for wires down when they saw black smoke coming from the home. Mutual aid from Fairfield, Weston and the Long Hill Volunteer Fire Department in Stamford also responded. Officials say a lithium-ion battery was found in the garage, but it's not clear what the battery was specifically used for. The fire was contained to the garage.
