Two people are displaced Saturday following a fire on Clinton Avenue in Stamford.
Firefighters received a call for the fire at 5:15 a.m.
Crews found smoke coming from the windows on the first floor of an end unit in a three-story multifamily row house.
Neighbors told firefighters that a person was at a window in the back of the home.
Officials say crews tried to get a ladder in place so they could rescue the man, but his injuries were so severe he jumped from the window before they arrived.
While some firefighters put out the fire, others worked treat the injured man. They also received reports that several people were missing inside the building and the adjacent units.
With the help of additional crews, the fire was put under control and no other occupants were found, according to authorities.
The fire was contained to one unit.
The Red Cross says it is helping two adults.
