City officials say Calf Pasture and Shady beaches are closed through Thursday due to elevated bacteria levels in the water.
They say even though no one is allowed to enter the water, the beach area is still open to visitors.
They say water samples demonstrating elevated bacterial levels were also found at several beaches in Westport, including Compo Beach and Sherwood Island.
Both beaches were closed yesterday but are open today.
West and Cummings beaches in Stamford are also closed today due to elevated bacteria levels, according to the state beach advisory.
