Hartford police are investigating a fatal shooting that left one woman dead and another injured Wednesday evening.
Officers responded to the area of Magnolia Street around 7:00 p.m. after receiving a ShotSpotter alert. When they arrived, police found an unresponsive woman inside a parked vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police identified her as 46-year-old Diana Tirado of New Britain.
Investigators also found a second woman on a nearby sidewalk with a gunshot wound. The victim, a woman in her 30s, was taken to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition.
The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene divisions responded to investigate the shooting.
No arrests have been announced, and the investigation remains ongoing.
