Bridgeport officials say more parents of public school students are coming out to the polls during elections.
Rep. Charlie Stallworth says those voters were more active in their district than ever before during the recent primary.
Stallworth says that fact coincides with a statewide trend, showing that minority parents in urban areas are emerging as a powerful group of voters.
Stallworth predicts public school parents will turn out in larger numbers than ever in November's general election.
