A threatening note was found at a New Milford middle school, officials say.

The note was discovered by a student at Schaghticoke Middle School yesterday.

The superintendent says the threat was written on a piece of paper.

The school was evacuated out of an abundance of caution.

Police say they are confident the building is safe, but an investigation is ongoing.
