The pole snapped before it struck the vehicle, police say.
Traffic lights in the area were also damaged because of the crash.
Police say the people inside the car appeared to be OK, but were taken to the hospital to be checked out.
Eversource is reporting power may have been lost for a few customers but was restored quickly.
