State officials announced Wednesday Connecticut businesses will see lower workers' compensation premiums next year.
The Connecticut Insurance Department has approved an annual workers' compensation rate filing for 2024 of 9.8%.
There will also be a decrease of 10.5% in assigned risk plan rates.
This is the 10th straight year premiums have decreased.
Officials say it is due to increased safety standards leading to fewer claims being filed.
