Connecticut's Old State House in Downtown Hartford was one of the state capitols in the early nineteenth century, and now it's a museum.
Visitors can stop by for the traveling exhibit now being hosted in the State House called Running for Office - The Cartoons of Clifford Berryman.
Event organizers say Berryman worked in the early 20th century, so visitors will see familiar people in the cartoons like Teddy Roosevelt and Henry Ford.
The focus of this exhibit is to show how much (and how little) has changed in how the nation run elections in the United States. This exhibit is part of a bigger series at the Connecticut Democracy Center called Go Big Vote Local. Coming up in November, they're going to have an election bake off featuring the traditional election cake.
Election cake was what fed visitors coming to Hartford to vote.
"Running for Office" is on view until Nov. 11. The exhibit is from Humanities Texas and is sponsored by CT Humanities.
