While the economy remains inconsistent, saving money at the grocery store can be a few clicks away.

Workers at Shaw?s grocery stores in Fairfield have said that they are seeing more coupons then they have before. Some shoppers have taken the time to print their coupons out online in an effort to save extra cash.

"It seems to be an easy [way] to save money and it really does add up,? says shopper Joyce Laponte. ?It's a good thing to do if you do have the time."

Grocery stores say that another way to save money on essentials is to use their rewards cards, which are most often free.
