Orange police identified a pedestrian who died after being struck by multiple vehicles Tuesday.

They say it occurred in front of McDonald's at 57 Boston Post Road.

Police received a report of a pedestrian struck at around 6:22 p.m. Responding officers found 43-year-old Khurshida Mohamadi, of West Haven, laying in the roadway with multiple traumatic injuries.

It appears the victim was crossing Boston Post Road when she was struck by an unknown dark, four door vehicle that fled the scene.

The victim was then struck by a 2009 Honda Pilot, that stopped. The driver is cooperating with police.

Route 1 reopened overnight following the police investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact either Detective Peterson or Detective Bailey at 203-891-2138.
