The owner of an Alabama dog rescue, on probation for animal cruelty convictions in that state, has reportedly been arrested in Stratford.
Police say Deanalyn Reing was hauling a trailer on I-95 loaded with nearly 30 dogs that had no ventilation.
The Connecticut Post newspaper reports Reing was charged with cruelty to animals Sunday.
They say she was released on a promise to appear in court Wednesday.
