Norwalk's Oyster Festival resumed Sunday after storms a day earlier sent people scattering for cover at the event in Veterans Park.
Heavy rain, flooding, strong winds and lightning all contributed to a decision by organizers to cut the festival short on Saturday.
The Norwalk Seaport Association spent hours cleaning up the damage brought about by the rain and wind. It says about 1,200 volunteers worked tirelessly to repair and stabilize the site.
Police say there were no injuries, but some vendors called Saturday's rainout a scary situation.
