Community members and parents gathered outside Greenwich Town Hall Sunday to voice their opposition to masks in schools Sunday.
Organizers say the rally was about giving students the choice to wear a mask or not. They say they want to bring a sense of normalcy back to schools and children.
The Connecticut House will vote on the school mask mandate Thursday. Gov. Ned Lamont has authority over school mask mandates until Feb. 15.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends universal indoor masking by all students ages 2 and older, staff, teachers, and visitors to K-12 schools, regardless of vaccination status.
