Parents whose children attend P.S. 274 in Morris Heights say there is no crossing guard to help kids cross the street at Matthews Place near the River Park Tower.
They say parents, teachers, aides and even the principal have had to step in to help keep the kids safe.
School officials say there was a crossing guard last year for at least a couple of months, but he resigned and has not been replaced.
News 12 reached out to the Department of Education, which said that that crossing guards are appointed by the NYPD. News 12 reached out to the 46 Precinct, but has not heard back.
