Parents in Stratford are speaking out against a proposed redistricting plan.
The proposal is designed to balance the number of students at the town's two high schools by sending more students to Stratford High. Students currently go from Wilcoxson to Flood Middle School and then Bunnell High. Under the proposal, Wilcoxson students would instead go to Wooster Middle School and on to Stratford High. Some parents are upset with the proposal saying they bought a house in a certain section of town with the expectation their kids would attend certain schools -- and they would prefer their kids go to Bunnell.
The board of education is considering all options and won't make a decision until at least next month.
