A driver says she pulled over after seeing a young child playing alone outside a day care center in Milford - just steps away from a parkway off-ramp.

KinderCare sits off of Route 15 - which can be busy and almost has no shoulder. Clovia McIntosh, who filmed the video, says she didn't understand why the child was alone and ended up pulling into the parking lot to help.

She alerted the staff at KinderCare while keeping a close eye on the child. McIntosh says staff appeared to be shocked when she said a child was alone in front of the day care - and, at one point, she even saw the child step off the curb.

KinderCare released a statement saying the child was not injured and it reported the incident to the child's parents and the Department of Children and Family Services.
