A pedestrian is fighting for their life after being struck by an SUV that fled the scene on Route 42 early Sunday morning in Washington Township.
The pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Jefferson Hospital in Washington Township before being airlifted to Cooper University Hospital Trauma Center in Camden for advanced treatment.
This prompted a two-hour highway closure and an ongoing police investigation.
No arrests have been made.
