Phase two of reopening Connecticut's economy is now slated for June 17.
Gov. Ned Lamont has released guidelines for businesses allowed to reopen during the second phase.
The guidelines include much of the same public health measures that were implemented during phase one.
Guidelines still include social distancing and wearing masks.
The types of businesses and services expected to reopen on June 17 include;
Indoor dining at restaurants
Personal services (e.g. nail salons, tattoo parlors, etc.)
Sports and fitness facilities (e.g. gyms, fitness centers, pools, etc.)
Indoor recreation (e.g. bowling, movie theaters, etc.)
Hotels
Libraries
Amusement parks
Indoor museums, zoos and aquariums
A limited number of people will be allowed at outdoor events, but an exact number was not given by the state.
Starting today, businesses that plan to reopen during phase two must self-certify online to show that they are compliant with the new guidelines.
