The post office on Grand Concourse is undergoing an overhaul.
The plans call for the building to look much different by next year.
The post office had been a staple in Concourse Village since 1937.
The U.S. Postal Service sold the building in 2014, and it will soon become a hub for commerce and community, according to the developers, Youngwoo and Associates.
The revamp is scheduled for completion in 2017.
The new "Bronx Postal Place" will feature office space, retail shops, restaurants, a rooftop terrace and space for a small postal facility.
