Police in Norwalk say a woman was killed and three people were injured in a two-car crash early Sunday morning.

The crash occurred at around 3 a.m. on Belden Avenue near Route 7. Police say one car involved was getting off the exit ramp of Route 7. The other was driving along Route 1. Each vehicle was carrying two people.

The identity of the deceased woman has not yet been released. Three other people were taken to Norwalk Hospital with serious injuries.

Belden Avenue was closed for several hours as authorities investigated and cleared the scene.

There is no word on what caused the collision.
