A shooting occurred overnight just before 2 a.m. on Maple and Kossuth Streets, emergency officials say.

Police say a person inside a car fired about eight shots at someone, and then drove toward Washington Park.

The victim is still in critical condition.

If anyone has any information about the shooting, they are asked to call the Bridgeport Police tip line.
