Police believe a shooting and a stabbing in Bridgeport Friday night are connected incidents.

Police say the shooting happened on Stratford Avenue around 10:30 p.m. They say the victim was shot in the right forearm.

A bloody knife was also found in the victim's car.

While the victim was being transported to Bridgeport Hospital, staff informed police that a person with a stab wound arrived there.

Police have not yet released any more details about what led up to the incident or if any arrests were made.
