UPDATE: The charges in this case were dismissed in 2021.
Police in Norwalk arrested a 60-year-old man Wednesday for allegedly farming marijuana.
An anonymous tip led them to Timothy Flaherty's Anderson Road backyard, where police say they found 16 large marijuana plants.
In pictures police posted to the department's Facebook page, the marijuana plants appear to be clearly visible over Flaherty's fence. Authorities say such large plants in Norwalk are rare.
Neighbors, who say their neighborhood is a quiet one, say Flaherty has been a problem in their area for a long time.
"To have this living next door on the same street...this close to young, impressionable children is just unconscionable," says Annalisa Breisler.
