Police: 17-year-old motorcyclist killed in Stamford crash

Police say it happened at the intersection of Lockwood Avenue and William Street around 9:15 p.m.

A 17-year-old Stamford resident died following a motorcycle crash Friday night.
Police say it happened at the intersection of Lockwood Avenue and William Street around 9:15 p.m.
Police say the motorcyclist was driving northbound on Lockwood Avenue.
A Toyota Corolla was driving southbound and attempted to make a left turn.
The driver, also a Stamford resident, entered the motorcyclist's path.
Police say the motorcyclist tried to stop but could not and struck the end of the car.
They were taken to Stamford Hospital and was later pronounced dead.
Police say because of their age, their identity will not be released.
The driver of Toyota remained on scene and is cooperated with the investigation.
