Police: 2 arrested following gun and drug investigation

Police say they attempted to arrest Anthony Durham, 28, of Bridgeport, on Wednesday while he was inside his parked car at the Charles F Green Homes Housing Community. Dominick Francis, 19, of Derby, was in the car with Durham.

Two men have been arrested following a month long gun and drug investigation in Bridgeport.
Police say they attempted to arrest Anthony Durham, 28, of Bridgeport, on Wednesday while he was inside his parked car at the Charles F Green Homes Housing Community. Dominick Francis, 19, of Derby, was in the car with Durham.
Police say when they approached the car, Francis fled and led police on a chase. Francis was quickly found and arrested.
Police say he had a loaded 9 mm semi-automatic pistol with high-capacity magazine and narcotics in his possession.
Francis faces numerous charges including criminal possession of a firearm, illegal transfer of pistol, and possession of narcotics.
Durham was located in the vehicle and arrested. His charges include assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.
After searching Durham's vehicle and apartment in the 200 block of Bond Street, officers seized two additional 9 mm semi-automatic pistols, narcotics and over $10,000 in money, jewelry and drug factory equipment. A stolen motorcycle was also recovered inside the apartment.
Following the search, Durham was charged with additional charges which include criminal possession of a firearm, carrying pistol without a permit and operation of a drug factory.
