Police say two people were caught breaking into a car in Shelton.
They say a woman spotted 45-year-old Kari Franco and 49-year-old Robert DeRosa rummaging through her car.
The incident happened near White and Bridge streets late Wednesday night.
Investigators say several people helped the woman hold the suspects until police arrived.
Police say they charged Franco and DeRosa with robbery and burglary.
