Bridgeport police say a multifamily house where several young children live was left riddled with bullet holes after two men tried to shoot each other following an argument over a woman.
The incident occurred around 5 p.m. Monday on Hancock Avenue on the city's West End.
Bullet holes in a back door of the house mark the spot where police say 29-year-old Rohan Brown, of Bridgeport, began the shooting by firing into a second-floor apartment. Investigators say 24-year-old Jacob Perez was in that apartment with his girlfriend, and then pulled out his own gun and began firing back. A young child was in the apartment at the time.
Police say the two men got into a fight a short time before the incident because Perez thought Brown was having sexual relations with his girlfriend. They say Brown then came back to settle the score.
Brown's bond was set at $150,000 and Jacob's was set at $5,000. Both men are facing numerous charges including risk of injury to a child.
