Police: 2 arrested in connection to Super 8 motel shooting in upstate New York

Police say 59-year-old Angel Samaniego was found dead Monday morning with a gunshot wound. Officials have ruled his death as a homicide.

Two people have been arrested in connection to the killing of a Stamford man at a Super 8 Motel in Stamford.

Police say 59-year-old Angel Samaniego was found dead Monday morning with a gunshot wound. Officials have ruled his death as a homicide.

Moises Alejadro Candollo-Urbaneja, 22, and Gregory Marlyn Galindez-Trias, 24, were taken into custody in Rensselaer, New York.

Samaniego's personal belongings were found in their possession, authorities say.

The suspects are being held on a $2 million bond for having stolen property in New York and on a warrant from Stamford police for larceny for the theft of Samaniego's vehicle following the homicide, authorities say.
