Five people, including three juveniles, were arrested Wednesday after several fights broke out at West Haven High School, police say.
Police say during the incidents, two parents of the juveniles involved, Stephanie Hernandez and Raynaer Bamberg, arrived at the school. They say the women caused a disturbance while they attempted to involve themselves in the altercations. No one was injured.
Police say that because of the violent and tumultuous behavior displayed by the juveniles and adults involved, a shelter-in place was established to ensure the safety of students and staff inside the building.
All five women were charged with breach of peace.
Police say there were no weapons involved during the incident other than fighting.
They say the group threw eggs at each other.
