Police say a Torrington man riding on a motorcycle was killed in a crash Friday afternoon.

They say Ernest Fischer, Jr., 63, was traveling near South Main Street and Fairmont Avenue after 3 pm when he collided with a sedan.

Officials say Fischer died as a result of the injuries. They say the driver of the sedan was not injured, but a passenger was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

Police say the cause of the crash is under investigation.
