Fairfield police say four teachers were injured by a student who was throwing chairs and tables at Dwight Elementary School Wednesday.
Police say the incident happened around 1 p.m. when school officials say a 10-year-old student got upset and started throwing the chairs and tables in a classroom.
Investigators say the teachers sustained minor injuries while trying to calm the student down.
They say one teacher had a bruise to the leg and was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center. The other was taken to a private physician by a friend.
News 12 is told two other teachers said they didn't need medical attention.
The child was later released to his parents.
There is no word on how and if the child will be disciplined or why the child became upset.
News 12 is told no students were hurt during the incident.
