Police: Ansonia man arrested for stalking woman he saw at his gym

Shelton police say Alexander Tamdemir, 58, stalked a 33-year-old woman. According to a complaint made by her, Tamdemir sent her a five page love letter.

An Ansonia man has been arrested for stalking a woman who police say went to the same gym as he did.

Shelton police say Alexander Tamdemir, 58, stalked a 33-year-old woman.

According to a complaint made by her, Tamdemir sent her a five page love letter.

In the letter, Tamdemir referenced driving by the victim's home and waiting for her significant other to leave.

Tamdemir also sent flowers to her home several times.

Police say Tamdemir opened multiple social media accounts to follow the victim.

Tamdemir is expected to appear in Derby Superior court on Monday.
