Police arrest Chilean man in theft of $ 1,500,000 in jewelry from Greenwich home

Authorities say the burglary took place two years ago at a home on the east side of town.

Greenwich police say a Chilean man has been arrested in the theft of more than $ 1,500,000 worth of jewelry from a home.
Authorities say the burglary took place two years ago at a home on the east side of town.
Officers say the thieves forced their way in through a rear window and made off with a safe containing the jewelry.
Stefano Roberto Cortes Munoz was extradited to Connecticut from West Virginia, where he is also facing charges.
He's being held on a $ 2,500,000 bond.
