Police believe series of ATM thefts in Greenwich is a ‘coordinated event by a group’ linked to other thefts

The first alleged robbery occurred at 3:45 a.m. on Saturday at a Mobil Station on East Putnam Avenue, where the suspects forcibly entered the gas station and left with an ATM.

A series of ATMs thefts occurred in Greenwich gas stations over the weekend, according to police.
Police believe this is a “coordinated event by a group” that has been stealing from cash machines in New York and other areas.
The first alleged robbery occurred at 3:45 a.m. on Saturday at a Mobil Station on East Putnam Avenue, where the suspects forcibly entered the gas station and left with an ATM.
On Sunday at 4:15 a.m., police responded to a break-in at the Gulf Station on Putnam Avenue. The ATM was tampered with, but not taken.
An hour later, the same suspects entered another Mobil Station on East Putnam Avenue.
