4ds agoA bomb threat called into a house of worship in Hopewell Township led police to discover multiple threats across New Jersey and across the country.
The Hopewell Township Police Department responded after a spiritual leader at an undisclosed house of worship received an email Sunday stating there were "multiple explosives" hidden throughout the building, which would detonate within a few hours.
The building was occupied at the time and had to be evacuated while officers and Mercer County K-9 units searched the building.
The surrounding area was also cleared.
The email was sent from an unknown source who sent it to numerous houses of worship in the state.
It does not appear the threat was credible at this time, according to authorities.
