A Bridgeport woman shot in the leg on Tuesday night is currently in stable condition.
Police say the woman and her 1-month-old child were on Shelton Street just before 5:30 p.m. when she was shot. After this occurred, the two were then forced into a car that drove off.
Officers say they later located the woman, who insisted she was fine and refused to cooperate with authorities.
She was later taken to the hospital by family members, according to police.
Police say the incident was domestic violence. However, there is currently no information about charges related to the shooting.
