New Canaan police say tests will be conducted to determine if a mortar shell found in a home is a live explosive.
Police say a person cleaning a house on Orchard Lane yesterday afternoon discovered the device.
Police say they closed Orchard Lane until the Stamford Bomb Squad removed the device.
