State police say they've arrested a drunken driver for going the wrong way for 12 miles on Route 8 overnight.
Troopers say 64-year-old Walter Ciepiela, of Shelton, was going south in the northbound lanes, and police had to put spikes down on the highway to stop his car in Bridgeport.
Police say Ciepiela failed sobriety tests and also had marijuana in his car.
They say he's facing several charges.
