A Stratford police officer is warning Facebook users that some status updates can be invitations for thievery.
Officer Bobby Ramos says that thieves are looking for status updates where the user is telling 'friends' where they are on vacation and when they will be home.
Ramos says it is a smarter idea to post pictures after a vacation is over rather than while the user is away.
"You have to monitor yourself and be careful as to what you give as information these days," says Ramos.
